Antes de continuar es altamente recomendable que hagas una Copia de Seguridad de las Configuraciones del visor. Puedes saltearte este paso si quieres, sin embargo, si surge algún problema durante o después de la actualización y no tienes una Copia de Seguridad puedes perder cualquier configuración personalizada que hayas efectuado.
Actualizar tu visor no es una tarea desalentadora. El método explicado a continuación es para realizar una actualización sencilla. NO SIGAS este método si estás volviendo a una versión previa.
Lo ideal es hacerlo desde el Panel de Control → Programas y Características. Si tienes una carpeta de Firestorm en el Menú Inicio allí debería existir un enlace para desinstalarlo (Solamente en la versión de 32 bits de Firestorm).
Ve hasta Aplicaciones y arrastra hasta la papelera la Aplicación Firestorm.
El directorio de instalación de Firestorm será cualquiera donde hayas descomprimido el archivo descargado. Normalmente puede estar en alguna parte de tu directorio Home, como ser ~/Phoenix-Firestorm_*. Simplemente borra este directorio y todo su contenido.
Si usaste el script de instalación com superusuario (root), buscalo en el directorio /opt. Necesitarás hacer un su root o sudo rm para borrar de ahi el directorio Firestorm
Habiendo hecho todo lo anterior, ya puedes instalar Firestorm. Instalar Firestorm es tal como se instala cualquier otra aplicación en tu computadora.
Obtener el instalador: Para la última versión, ve a la página de Descarga .
Run the downloaded installer. The 32-bit installer will offer you the chance to change the destination directory; the 64-bit installer shows the destination when you click the Options button.
The installer will create a shortcut icon on the desktop.
Note: The 32-bit installer offers you an option to start the viewer when it's done, and you should choose No. Choosing Yes tends to cause problems for some people, especially if they restore during that session. The shortcut is the preferred way to launch the viewer.
Find the .dmg file you just downloaded and double-click it to mount it. Then drag the Firestorm app icon into your Applications folder. More detailed instructions can be found here
Extract the downloaded tar.bz2 or tar.xz into any directory and run the firestorm script inside that directory to launch it. You can optionally install by running the install script inside that directory. And you can optionally create a desktop launcher. Refer to the README files for more information.
If you are installing on a 64-bit Linux system, you will need to install some 32-bit libraries. Refer to this pagefor guidance on required compatibility libraries.
If you use the Nautilus File Manager and double clicking the firestorm launch script opens the script in an editor, you will need to modify how Nautilus handles scripts.
It must be noted that a different flash player is required for different versions of Firestorm. Version 4.7.7 and newer requires flash player for Opera and Chromium. Go here, select your operating system, then select the appropriate flash player.
